Reading the Eye Diagram

Eye Height: Vertical opening at center. Larger = better noise margin.

Eye Width: Horizontal opening. Larger = more timing margin for sampling.

Crossing Points: Should be at consistent level (zero for balanced). Spread indicates jitter.

Closure: ISI, noise, and jitter cause eye to "close". Fully closed = unusable signal.

Optimal Sample: Center of the eye where opening is maximum.
