Condorcet Paradox

The Condorcet Paradox shows that majority preferences can be cyclic. Even if most voters prefer A over B, and B over C, a majority may still prefer C over A. There is no single "will of the people" -- collective preferences can be irrational even when every individual's preferences are perfectly rational.
