Imagine pouring water on a porous rock. Each site is open (lets water through) with probability p. Will water reach the bottom? Below p_c ≈ 0.5927, NO. Above it, YES! The transition is SHARP—a tiny change flips everything.

🎯 The Critical Threshold

For site percolation on a square lattice:

p_c = 0.59274621 ± 0.00000013

Unlike bond percolation (p_c = ½ exactly), the site threshold has NO known closed form—only numerical estimates!

📈 Phase Transition
