Illumination Problem: Place a point light in a mirrored room. Does every point get illuminated? For convex rooms: yes. For L-shaped rooms or rooms with pillars, dark regions can exist. Roger Penrose showed in 1958 that certain rooms cannot be fully illuminated from any position.
