ANITA Mk VIII (1961)

A New Inspiration To Arithmetic — the world's first all-electronic desktop calculator, built by Bell Punch Company in Uxbridge, England.

It used cold-cathode Dekatron counting tubes and Nixie tube displays. No moving parts except the keys. Silent compared to the clanking mechanical calculators it replaced. Price: £355 (about £8,000 today).
